To My Raleigh Neighbors:

Raleigh has been a great place for me and my family for over twenty years. Raleigh has grown, matured, and become an exciting and vibrant place to live. I am excited about offering my service to the City as your representative and offer the following thoughts:

I am committed to finding a moderate, positive, and consensus-building voice at the Council table representing Raleigh's District D. Raleigh is poised to become a more desirable place to live. Or not. The decisions that the City Council will be making in the next few years will be crucial.

Our District is at the crossroads of Raleigh’s future. In addition to boasting some of the region’s most desirable neighborhoods, we are also hosts to a major university and several other institutions, some of the City’s most fertile opportunities for enhanced transit service and related development, and potential for great new park space on the Dorthea Dix Campus.

We need positive, cooperative and visionary leadership to grasp these divergent elements and to forge a plan for moving our City forward in a way that benefits all of us, and that will leave an improved, sustainable Raleigh for our kids and grandkids.

I hope you will join with me to offer a positive, forward thinking voice for Raleigh. We can guide growth, ensure jobs and opportunities for all of our community members, and see our hometown become a truly great 21st Century City.

To do so, we will need broad consensus and cooperation among diverse groups, and an ability to articulate a vision for the City that looks forward rather than back.

Thanks for your help and counsel. I hope you will spread the word about our campaign, will contact me with your concerns and perspectives, and will come out October 6th to vote for a Positive Voice for Raleigh.

With Best Regards,
